Signs from the Sky: Last Call for Signs!
Signs from the Sky is coming together—and thanks to everyone who has already donated signs! We’ve collected quite a few for WCI’s first large-scale protest art project, but we need even more to make an impact from above.
Have signs from past protests gathering dust? Donate them by September 6! We’ll arrange them into a massive ground collage and capture the finished work with drone photography.
The result will become a shareable protest art video released on September 21 in recognition of the International Day of Peace.
To arrange a pickup or drop-off, email Laura at IndivisibleLetters@gmail.com.
Want your signs back? Put your name and contact information on the back, and we’ll return them after the project is photographed.

Okay, we can’t tell you yet. But we can tell you that you’ll want to watch your inbox next week.
WCI has a big announcement coming Tuesday, September 8!
Keep an eye on your email and Washington County Indivisible’s social media pages to be among the first to hear the news.
Seven days and counting...

Make Some Signs. Make Some Friends. Make Some Noise.
Sunday, September 20 | 3–7 PM Hub City Brewery
Bring your creativity and join us for an afternoon of protest sign making and community! We’ll provide the sign-making supplies — you bring yourself, some friends, and your ideas.
We’ll also be collecting food donations for the Western Maryland Immigrant Rights Collective to support local immigrant families. If you’re able, bring a donation along.
No artistic talent required. Come make something that says what you want the world to hear!

What Would You Ask the Candidates?
Here’s your chance to ask them yourself. At Candidate Speed Dating, you won’t sit in an audience listening to speeches—you’ll sit down face-to-face with local candidates for short, informal conversations about the issues that matter to you.
Tuesday, October 7 | 6:00–8:00 PM Doors open at 5:30 PM Hub City Vinyl
Admission is free, and beverages will be available for purchase at the bar.
Already thinking about what you’d ask? Save your seat by RSVPing to IndivisibleLetters@gmail.com

Stamps Still Needed!
Our General Election mailer is getting closer, and we still need Forever Stamps to help get our message into voters’ mailboxes.
You can contribute to our ActBlue account, or, if you have stamps to spare, bring them to any WCI event or mail them to:
Washington County Indivisible PO Box 87 Clear Spring, MD 21722
Every stamp helps us reach one more voter.

Weekly Food Donation Drop Off at Hub City Brewery
Can’t make it to one of our scheduled food drives? You can now donate anytime Hub City Brewery is open!
A WCI donation box is available Thursdays–Sundays, Noon–11 PM for food and essential supplies benefiting families supported by the Western Maryland Immigrant Rights Collective (WMD-IRC).
Just bring your donations to Hub City Brewery and drop them in the box. An easy way to help our neighbors whenever it works for your schedule.

Next WCI Rush Hour Resistance
Meet us on the Appalachian Trail bridge on Friday, September 4 at 4:30 PM to help set up, or stop by before 6:00 PM to wave. Our letters aren't waterproof, so we cancel if it's raining.
If you have any suggestions for the message, please send them ASAP! Keep it to 30 characters (including spaces) or less.
Email Dave Williams at dwilliams21783@gmail.com for more information.
