Signs From the Sky: See What YOU Created
Signs From the Sky is complete—and the video is live!
With your help, we collected nearly 400 protest signs created and carried by members of our community over the past year. Now, they’ve come together in one remarkable view from above.
The finished video is a tribute to all of you who have shown up, spoken out and stood together—and to the strength, courage and commitment behind every one of those signs.
Thank you for standing with us. Now see what we created together!

Peace, Community, & Lots of Voters Registered!
Saturday was a great day at Fall Fest in Hagerstown City Park! Hundreds of visitors stopped by the Washington County Indivisible and League of Women Voters tables throughout the day.
Kids built their own towns, matched community helpers with the places they serve, decorated thank-you notes — and enjoyed plenty of stickers, prizes and rubber duckies. Meanwhile, visitors could register to vote and learn more about voting right next door.
Our activities celebrated the International Day of Peace and a simple idea that connects it all: we are stronger when we participate in our communities together.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by — and to the volunteers who made the day possible!

WMD-IRC Needs Drivers—Can You Give 90 Minutes?
The Western Maryland Immigrant Rights Collective (WMD-IRC) has added more families to its support list — and now needs more volunteer drivers to help get food and essential supplies to them.
Drivers are needed every week, and a delivery shift takes about 90 minutes. Volunteers pick up one family’s weekly packages from the storage site and deliver them directly to the family. Most deliveries are within 15–20 minutes of Hagerstown Public Square.
Drivers complete a brief vetting process before volunteering as part of WMD-IRC’s commitment to protecting the families it serves.
For the children in these families, whatever uncertainty may be happening around them, the everyday needs don’t stop. They still wake up hungry. Giving just 90 minutes can help make sure one family has food and essential supplies for the week.

Help Us Reach 5,000 Washington County Households!
Pens to Power has officially launched the General Election Mailer! Our goal is to send voter guides to 5,000 households across Washington County before early voting begins next month — and we need lots of helping hands to make it happen.
Join us in person on October 4 or October 11 to write mailers, or help from home on your own schedule. RSVP to alicejimroberts@gmail.com
Want to write from home? Complete the volunteer form and we’ll get the materials to you so you can get started.
Stamps Still Needed!
Our General Election mailer is getting closer, and we still need Forever Stamps to help get our message into voters’ mailboxes.
You can contribute to our ActBlue account, or, if you have stamps to spare, bring them to any WCI event or mail them to:
Washington County Indivisible PO Box 87 Clear Spring, MD 21722
Every stamp helps us reach one more voter.

Next WCI Rush Hour Resistance
Meet us on the Appalachian Trail bridge on Friday, September 25 at 4:30 PM to help set up, or stop by before 6:00 PM to wave. Our letters aren't waterproof, so we cancel if it's raining.
If you have any suggestions for the message, please send them ASAP! Keep it to 30 characters (including spaces) or less.
Email Dave Williams at dwilliams21783@gmail.com for more information.

Treasurer Needed!
The Washington County Indivisible leadership team is looking for a Treasurer to join us!
Want to get more involved with WCI without adding another big commitment to your calendar? Our Treasurer role is an easy way to help, requiring just 1–2 hours per month. If you’re comfortable keeping things organized and numbers on track, we’d love to talk with you!
