NEW Poll: Still Undecided?

Last week, 44% of our respondents hadn’t quite decided on all of their candidates. So this week, we are asking about what’s giving you pause. These 2026 elections will be hugely consequential and we want everyone confident to head to the polls - ready to make good change for our community!

Final Week: Get Out the Vote Mailer Campaign!

We are in the final week of our local Get Out the Vote mailer campaign! So far, our incredible volunteers have committed to sending more than 2,300 election guides to registered voters across Washington County to help boost turnout in the upcoming primary election.

We still have about 1,300 addresses remaining, and our goal is to reach every one of them before the June 8 mailing deadline — next Monday!

There are two ways to help:

1. Write from home
Complete the form below to receive materials and get started:
https://bit.ly/4dxyOTZ

2. Join us in person on Sunday, June 7, from 1–4 PM
Help us send out as many voter guides as possible in one afternoon! Please RSVP to alicejimroberts@gmail.com for the address and let us know how many people will be attending.

If you'd like to support the effort, Forever Stamps are greatly appreciated. We will also be collecting food and personal hygiene items for Eliza's House and/or the Western Maryland Immigrant Rights Collective, depending on current needs.

Please note: it may be too late to mail materials and still meet the June 8 deadline. If you'd prefer to pick up materials or have them dropped off this week, indicate that in the address field on the form and we'll contact you to make arrangements.

Thank you for helping us make Washington County history!

💌 Donate for postage: Every stamp helps us reach another voter. Contribute here.

One Year of Silence Is Enough

Washington County Indivisible and Hagerstown Rapid Response are teaming up to host the Sound of Silence Rally on June 9 at 9:00 AM outside the County Administration Building.

The rally marks one full year without public comment at Board of County Commissioners meetings and will be our largest demonstration yet opposing the BOCC's cooperation with DHS and ICE in opening the proposed detention warehouse in Williamsport.

People from across the region are traveling to stand in solidarity with our community. We hope you'll join us.

Caring for Ourselves While We Fight for Change

Washington County Indivisible will host a special session on Saturday, June 27, from 1:30–4:00 PM focused on protecting and nurturing our mental health while staying engaged in the work of activism.

Join us in the meeting room at the Fletcher Library to hear from experts on managing stress, staying centered, and finding practical ways to care for ourselves amid a nonstop news cycle. We'll explore strategies for maintaining resilience, avoiding burnout, and sustaining our commitment to the causes we care about.

Next WCI Rush Hour Resistance

Last week's message received the greatest positive response we've experienced from I-70 travelers. See what happens this Friday as we take part in the Visibility Brigade's nationwide D-Day, Democracy Day, messaging weekend. The purpose is to honor WWII veterans and protest against the influence of billionaires on U.S. democracy.

We are on our summer schedule of 4:30-6:00. Meet us on the Appalachian Trail bridge on Friday, June 5 at 04:30 PM to help set up, or stop by before 6:00 PM to wave. Our letters aren't waterproof, so we cancel if it's raining

If you have any suggestions for the message, please send them ASAP! Keep it to 30 characters (including spaces) or less.

Email Dave Williams at dwilliams21783@gmail.com for more information.
